The Dorling Kindersley Eyewitness Travel Guide to Belgium and Luxembourg

This has been my main project for almost a year – a mammoth task, selecting and describing the best things to see and do in Belgium and Luxembourg.

My experiences have served only to enhance my appreciation of these two countries. Both have a great deal to offer the visitor. Of course there are the famous historic cities of Brussels, Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp. But there many other delightful towns and cities, such as Tournai, Liège, Mechelen, Kortrijk, Diest and Tongeren, each with its own quiet charms and historic treasures. And Luxembourg City is a gem.

Belgium in particular has a wonderful collection of bed-and-breakfast accommodation – four-star-style designer luxury in farmhouses, manors, abbeys and castles. All will be revealed when the book is published later this year.
